Scott Porter - Director of Development Services
Scott has been a financial software developer and consultant for over nineteen years. He possesses a Bachelors of Science degree in Management Information Systems from the University of South Carolina. Scott’s in depth understanding of software development in financial accounting stems from his early years as a programmer/consultant with the State of South Carolina where he single handedly rewrote the SC DSN Boards’ GL, AP, AR, Allocations, Asset Mgmt. and Payroll character based financial systems into a Windows GUI environment using Visual Pascal on a Sybase backend.

Scott has been working with MBS Dynamics GP and SL for the past six years and has extensive experience with the SQL backend from SQL Server 6.5 – 2005. He has considerable experience in the new SQL Server 2005 Business Intelligence environment as well, implementing several Integration Services to Analysis Services and Reporting Services projects. Scott is fluent in all of the Microsoft Programming constructs including VB.Net, C#.Net and ASP.Net as well as VBA Customization tools for Solomon and Dexterity Customizations tools for Great Plains.  Scott is a Dexterity Certified Software Engineer, MCP and is currently assisting Cardamel Consulting in obtaining its IW Competency by working toward several SharePoint and Dynamics Business Portal certifications.
